ABOUT
I am an entrepreneur, investor and writer focused on one question:
Why do some people fulfil their potential while others never do?
For more than two decades I have built companies, worked alongside founders, advised investors and studied the decisions that shape outcomes. Throughout that journey I noticed the same pattern repeatedly. The difference between what people are capable of becoming and what they ultimately become is often far greater than anyone realises.
That observation sits behind everything I do.
I divide my time between building companies, supporting entrepreneurs and writing about human potential, action, opportunity and the choices that shape our lives.
Jill Godden.
WHAT I BUILD
My work sits at the intersection of entrepreneurship, ideas and human potential.
I build companies designed to help founders navigate uncertainty and create opportunities that would otherwise remain inaccessible. MoonshotNX is one example of that work, providing founders with the structure, discipline and investor readiness needed to access capital.
I am also a partner in the Million Ideas Movement, a global initiative built around a simple belief: that great ideas can come from anywhere, and that possibility deserves the opportunity to be tested. The movement exists to give people who may never have access to traditional networks a chance to have their ideas seen, supported and explored.
Alongside these ventures, I write. Through books, essays and ongoing research, I explore the gap between potential and outcome, the decisions that shape our lives, and the responsibilities we have to the possibilities within us.
While these projects may appear different on the surface, they are all attempting to solve the same problem:
How do we help more people become who they are capable of becoming?
WHY I WRITE
While building companies, I became increasingly fascinated by the gap between potential and outcome.
I met extraordinary founders who never acted. Brilliant people who doubted themselves. Average people who achieved remarkable things through persistence and action.
Over time I came to believe that talent explains far less than we think.
Action matters more.
Responsibility matters more.
The willingness to act before certainty exists matters more.
These ideas eventually became the foundation for my writing and for the concept I call Potential Debt , my explanation of the gap between what we are capable of becoming and what we ultimately become.
